Under Sea Cable

Hawaii is more dependent on foreign oil than any other state. Any disruption in the middle east will have a devastating impact on our economy.

The state is trying to minimize our dependence on foreign oil. An important part of that project is tying Molokai and Lanai, which have the wind power potential, to Oahu.

There will be two landing sites for the cable. One will be in town. The other will be on or near the Marine Base and follow either the Oneawa Canal or the H3 right-of-way to the power station located near the junction of the H3 and Kamehameha Hwy.
