Oahu Metropolitan Planning Organization Meeting

The Oahu Metropolitan Planning Organization is holding meetings throughout Oahu to review the C&C transportation plan.  The meeting for Windward Oahu will be held at Kailua High School on February 26th from 7pm-8:30pm.  This is your chance to talk to the County planners about dangerous intersections, problems with traffic flow, complete streets, safe pedestrian and bicycle paths and whatever other transportation concerns you may have.

For instance, I have advocated for a path that will provide safe pedestrian and bicycle use on Kaneohe Bay Drive from Castle High School to the Mokapu Extension (saddle road).  I also want to see a Complete Street study for Kamehameha Hwy through Kaneohe Town.

Pick the transportation issues that concern you and be at the meeting.  Written testimony will be accepted till 4/14/2013.

The following are important deadlines from the OMPO website:

The draft Amendment to the OahuMPO Participation Plan (OPP) is available for your review and comment. Comments may be submitted no later than Thursday, February 28, 2013.
