Radford High School is built on an old Navy dump site. The Navy and the Department of Education are attempting to clean up the toxic mess to make Radford High School a safer place for its students.
However, contractors doing the cleanup have sold contaminated soil to land owners throughout Oahu. Some of that toxic dirt was deposited in the backyard of a home in Haiku Plantations in Kaneohe.

The incident is under review and the State is facing litigation, so the people who could tell us more are unable to discuss it. We will have to wait until the facts are released.
