Windward Community
College will play host to a Town Hall Meeting with Gov. David Ige on Monday,
October 26. The forum will take place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Hale Akoakoa101-105.
The program includes remarks by Gov. Ige, who will briefly
outline his administration’s strategic initiatives; brief remarks by members of
the governor’s cabinet and staff on topics of community interest such as the
Hawaii State Hospital, Wilson Tunnel repairs and homelessness; and an open
question and answer period.
Speaking along with
the Governor will be Dr. Virginia Pressler, Director of the State Health
Department; Scott Morishige, the Governor’s Coordinator on Homelessness; and a
representative of the State Transportation Department.
The forum is
co-sponsored by WCC’s student government and Ka ‘Ohana, the student newspaper.
