Mark Your Calendars, Kaneohe Neighbors, For Weekend Events And More

From last night’s Kaneohe Neighborhood Board meeting -- announcements about some interesting events and opportunities in the next few days:
Castle High School is holding Going Green Day #84 on Saturday, January 23, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. You can recycle appliances, bicycles, propane tanks, computers, clothing, canned food – even old cars.
Blue Zones Project is offering a Purpose Workshop on Saturday, January 23, from 1 to 3:20 p.m. at Unity Windward, 46-005 Kawa St, # 303. The free workshop will help participants find the unique things that make them their best – and possibly add years to their lives.
Windward Community College’s Uala Leaf Café is now open Mondays through Fridays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The café serves “local style favorites with local ingredients and trendy ‘on the scene’ choices for herbivores, omnivores and carnivores.” Entrees are priced at an affordable $5.50. The café is open to the public.
The Kaneohe/Kahaluu Hazard Awareness and Response Program will hold its monthly emergency  preparedness class at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 26, at the LDS church 46-117 Halaulani St. Learn skills that will protect you and your family – before, during and after an disaster.
