As noted at our February meeting – interesting events are
coming up for Windward residents:
Windward Community College’s Theatre 260 students will stage the play “Roberto Zucco” for eight performances, Friday, March 11, through Sunday, March 20. The play, about a serial killer, is labeled a “provocative absurdist tragi-comedy,” and is recommended for ages 18 and older. All performances will be in the college’s Paliku Theatre, with ticket prices from $5 to $15 per person. Click here for more information.
Marine Corps Community Services Hawaii is
taking registrations from community members for two of the races in its Commanding
Officer’s Semper Fit Series. The first-ever Backcountry Adventure Race will
take place 8 a.m. Saturday, March 19, at Bellows Air Force Base. It’s a 5-mile
run with “circuit stations” built in to test strength and endurance. The Surf
& Turf 5K will take place 6:30 a.m., Saturday, April 9, at the Marine Corps
Base Hawaii Officer’s Club. The scenic course will provide views of the
sunrise, North Beach and Pyramid Rock. Click
