You are invited to a Kaneohe Healthy Built Environment Workshop.
Look at Kaneohe with a new vision. What can we do to make Kaneohe a more hospitable place for residents to work, shop and play.
The
workshop will be led by Dan Burden, an internationally recognized
authority on livable and sustainable communities, healthy streets,
traffic calming, and bicycle and pedestrian programs.
Over the past 35 years, he’s helped more than 3,000 communities become
more livable, walkable, and sustainable.
The objectives for this workshop will be:
·
Education

Streets. What are they? What are the benefits (health, safety, economic,
environment)? How to achieve Complete Streets (i.e. street and land use
tools in the community toolbox)? How are these
tools achieving the benefits (i.e. additional data, evidence based
research)?
