I attended the last Neighborhood Board Meeting on Sept 21, 2017. Members from my neighborhood came to listen to what Jody Solbach and his Imi Pono Foundation was about. We have had a 13 year history with this home owner and his Half-way house in our very congested residential community. The lot sizes are 3500-4500 square feet in size. Very cozy! From the start, we have had numerous conversations with him regarding his "house" and the multitudes of unrelated, unsavory men that lived there. At one point, he had 22 men in residence. One of them, that we know of, was a rapist. He did not get a permit until 8 years later, which he was granted from the City & County for 18 men. The Half-way house got shut down in August 2014 through our neighborhoods diligence in finding a "flaw" in their findings (no Group Living Facility can be within a 1000 feet of each other). It cost us $400 to reopen this case. The City Inspector admitted that he did not check.
During this time, Mr. Solbach has been cited numerous times for violations.
He was "caught" by the Attorney Generals' office for soliciting donations for his "Tradition House Foundation", but had not applied for non-profit status.
His newest foundation, "Imi Pono Foundation", was granted non-profit status back in 2014/15, but seems to have only recently been resurrected. His efforts to "fundraise" makes me extremely suspicicious as to where the money is going. Although I view him as an extremely dishonest person, this view has been substantiately by one of his very loyal partners in crime, Brian Jess. He was a constant companion to Mr. Solbach at all of his City & County hearings that we attended. If you read Facebook, please search for Jody Solbach and read his POST from Brian Jess. Although his comments would not be considered "evidence", it substantiates what the neighbors have suspected all along...Mr. Solbach is in it for the money!
And, when he said he gave up 2 of his Half-way houses in Kaneohe, it is because they went into foreclosure for "siphoning" the profits and not paying his mortgages. Keep in mind, he had 4 Half-way houses in Kaneohe/Kahaluu. 3 of the houses was allowed 14 men, and the one next to me had 18 men. (He has been cited for having more than his maximum number...impossible to count since they move in and out every 2 months). He claims that each resident paid about $400. Do the math. He made a financial "killing".
Presently, he rents. He is not allowed more than 5 unrelated people. He has never has less than 7. He has had up to 12. When the C&C inspector comes, the renters that she has talked to said there is ony 5 people and the rest are guests!!!! These guests have been there for 6 months+ and they have cars that park on the road, which adds to more congestion.
Please help us shut down his Imi Pono Foundation solicitations. I hate to have our community ripped off again by him so that he can live a wealthier life than the homeless!
If you do the math, look at how much his mortgage was

Malia and Samuel Ramiro of 45-231 Popoki Place are inconsiderate neighbors. They play very loud music. Once, they started playing loud music at 7 pm. Hours later when it was still continuing, I called the police to complain. Nothing much was done since the music only stopped at 2 am the next morning. Another night I called the police to complain about loud music. Only when I called again later that same night did the music stop. The next morning (a Saturday) at 8:15 am, the music was even louder than usual. I'm certain they were retaliating. On a recent Sunday morning, the music started at 8 am. The police haven't been helpful.

Malia and Samuel seem to think they're the only people living here so they can play their music as loud as they want. They're in their 40's and should know better. Can't they see how close the houses are? This used to be a quiet area, but ever since they moved here, not anymore. Neighbors don't have to like each other, but they should at least be respectful of each other.
