Citizen Emergency
Response Team (CERT) training is highly recommended for everyone. This is the
schedule for the public classes for the month of February:
LOCATIONS: February
7th, and 21st - Emergency Operations Center, Frank F. Fasi Municipal Building
basement, 650 S. King Street, Honolulu. February 28th - Hawaii
Emergency Management Agency, Battery Harlow, 3949 Diamond Head Road, Honolulu.
TIMES: February
7th, and 21st - 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. February 28th - 7:45 am
to 2:00 pm.
Training will
prepare you to take care of yourself, your family and your neighbors in the
event of a flood, tsunami, hurricane or earthquake. The better prepared
you are, the more comfortably and quickly you can get back to normal.
In addition, our
Kaneohe/Kahaluu communities have come together to provide a series of Hazard
Awareness and Response Programs to help us how to be prepared as a community to
spring back from our next big storm. The classes are held on the 4th
Tuesday of each month at the LDS Church, 46-117 Halaulani St., near King Intermediate School. Turn
mauka (toward the mountain) at the King intersection and the Church is a half
block on the right. Meeting starts at 6:30 pm.
