Kaneohe Neighborhood Board Seeks Community Involvement

The Kaneohe Neighborhood Board (KNB) intends to be a relevant factor in the decision-making process of the City and County of Honolulu and the State of Hawaii.

Presently, the KNB staffs a number of standing committees and special project committees that review and analyze histy, data and trends, or conduct resident interviews/surveys to gain a pulse on specific issues.  Committee reports to the board can yield letters or calls to action to the appropriate legislative, private, or semi-private business or entity. Committee reports can also generate resolutions for consideration by the appropriate entity.  While these letters and resolutions do not carry the force of law, they are effective tools to formally notify government and private organizations decision-maker's of our thoughts and expectations.

The KNB is looking for interested residents who have experience in particular area's of expertise which would help in our development of community-based recommendations.  We also seek residents who have a desire to be a part of the process.

There are a number of committees of interest where we are looking to grow membership and get better ideas.

Below is a list of committees and be on the lookout in the near future for the goals of these committees.  If you are interested, let us know and you can be involved in the development of these goals!  Aloha,  Mo Radke, Chair KNB
