Next CERT Training Starts 3/12/16

Where: Fasi Municipal Building, Department of Emergency Management-Basement, 650 South King Street, Honolulu, HI 96813 (map)
Description: Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Training is offered free of charge to the general public.
 • CERT consists of approximately 22 hours of training (16 classroom hours and 6 hours of practicum) held over a three day period.
 • Participants must complete both classroom sessions before attending the practicum.
 • Participants need to complete all three days of training to receive a certificate of completion.
 • Classes are typically held on Saturdays or Sundays from 8:00AM to 4:00PM.
 • All CERT Training sessions are held at the Department of Emergency Management in the Fasi Municipal Building at 650 South King Street in the basement with the final practical exercise held at a bunker at Diamond Head.
 • Please RSVP at least two weeks prior to the first scheduled class. Classes are held monthly except for exclusion dates.  See Calendar at www.honolulu.gov/dem
 • If you are able to muster 12 individuals, you may be eligible for an exclusive class for your organization at the time, date and location of your choice. Please note “blackout” dates in red and “Instructors’ Recess” months; classes will not be scheduled on those dates. The next Windward Class is scheduled for September.
