We
welcomed a new Kaneohe Neighborhood Board member at our January meeting. He is Kenneth M.
Cho Jr., and he is filling the seat representing Sub-District 8, the
Mr.
Cho grew up in Windward Oahu and has been a Kaneohe resident for six years. He
is a stevedore for McCabe, Hamilton & Renny Co.
Ltd.
Mr. Cho and his wife have four
daughters, and he said that one of his goals is to help them experience a
Hawaii that is like the one where he grew up.

Volunteers Needed For Two Open Board Seats
With Mr. Cho’s
appointment, there are now two open seats on our 17-seat Board. They represent
Sub-District 4, Keahala and Sub-District 12, Pikoiloa.
The Board is authorized
to fill vacancies by appointment. Community members may indicate their interest
by contacting Board Chairman Mo Radke or by attending a
Board meeting. A map of the district is available online,
as is a street index that is organized by
sub-district (search for District 30 in the index, then find the sub-district).
Also,
the 2017 Neighborhood Board elections will take place April 28 through May
19. All seats on our Board will be up for election.
The
deadline for filing a candidacy form is Friday, February 17. Registration forms
and other information about becoming a candidate are available
online.
