Public Meeting on its Multi-Hazard Pre-Disaster Mitigation Plan Update

This has been an active year with a multitude of natural disasters that have impacted our island, from flooding rains, landslides, storms to coastal erosions.  The City and County of Honolulu (City) will be holding a Public Meeting on its Multi-Hazard Pre-Disaster Mitigation Plan Update (See attached flyer).

Join the City Department of Emergency Management (DEM) in their efforts to update this Plan. This event is an opportunity to learn about the findings of the updated risk assessment, and to give your input regarding your concerns and ideas for reducing risk.  The objectives of the multi-hazard mitigation plan are:
  • to protect people and structures from harm and destruction, and

  • to reduce or mitigate losses and disruption of services during disasters.
