State Civil Defense is conducting an island-wide project to upgrade and/or replace the All Hazard Outdoor Warning Sirens. Various neighborhoods will receive new or upgraded sirens and we would like to take this opportunity to present the project to any interested Neighborhood Boards. Our presentation will be tailored specifically to the neighborhood and will take approximately ten (10) minutes.
Additionally, the Civil Defense staff will provide some general information on the sirens, monthly testing schedule and what actions the citizens should take upon hearing the sirens.
The staff will gather input on community concerns and discuss options for placement and visual impact.
