Halloween Candy Tampering

“The Honolulu Police Department received a report of candy containing an embedded needle. The candy was collected during Halloween in the area of Kihapai Street in Kailua. Fortunately, the needle was discovered by a parent during an inspection, and no one was injured. A criminal investigation of reckless endangering has been opened and is currently ongoing. The Honolulu Police Department urges parents to inspect all candy collected during Halloween for signs of tampering before allowing access to their children for consumption. If anyone has any information in this case or discover candy has been tampered with, they are urged to report it to the police.”
